If you want the server to have the mod then yes, you have to install it to the server. It would not delete all players, building or reset the day.Īll players who play will also need it installed. Though if you install Overhaul I would heavily recommend you start on a fresh map with fresh players. Some skills would reset, but not all.Īs to what version I recommend. Its up to you and your players what they prefer. Both versions are very different and its up to you as to what one is best for your desired experience. The Valmod Pack comes in two different flavors. The Expansion pack and The Overhaul pack. The Expansion pack is meant to be viewed, as the name implies, as an expansion pack for the game. What this means is that it adds a bunch of new features to the game without dramatically changing the overall vanilla gameplay experience.

Great if you're happy with 7DTD but just want to have more stuff to do. The Overhaul pack adds the same items and content to the game as the expansion with the key difference being that unlike the expansion the overhaul, as the name implies overhauls some basic aspects of the game. Mainly the recipe system is considerably locked down compared to vanilla. The overhaul is intended for those who want a new experience from the game. I can try and get motivated and actually dig into the xml.but what I am saying here is that for me slower progression coupled with higher tier recipes equal a better experience overall. So take something like the repeater crossbow. Perhaps the skill specialization on some truly game changing stuff should rest in the 100 skill point range (or higher) of specialization. I realize this might not be the intent of your mod and it might not be enjoyable to others either. For me though, drawing out the arrival of endgame is almost as important as adding content to endgame. By moving some skills higher on the tree it would push more cooperation because ERMERGerdNUGGET needs to focus on Fletching and Weapon Smithing so doesn't have points to invest in Medical Marijuana.

I might be wrong about this, I will check into it.Īll things said It is still a great Mod and Very much worth using. The rarity of the screamer, I want to make her more rare because having 7 screamers each day is a little annoying to be honest on a singleplayer/multiplayer server.Īnd ofc one more question What happens if I am on a diffrent pc and I download the mod on my other pc (that I dont have the mod on) will my data and player character be respawned as a new player character? Or will I still have my current player character due to I am not the host of the server. You have to replace 3 files in the 7 days to die game file each time you want to go from vanilla to modded, and when there is an update. Takes a ton of looting to get survivor notes or killing Zombies in order to level up skills. I am finding that roaming hoards are less and less in this mod. No Manuel online or anywhere.įramerate loss in custume made cities by the modder. Lack of building makes you have to think harder and innovate early game and get your stuff together fast. Great game play and longer game progression.īetter experience with longer scavenging time.Ĭrafting System is a ton better and requires work tables and or benches for larger or more difficult itemsĭifferent AI in place for Zombies, some run during the day and you never know what or when they are, keeps you on your toes.

Still, This Mod gets updated often and everytime there is a patch for 7 days it takes normally 3 to 4 days for the modder to catch up. They start you out with a good amount of resources related to that type of build and the starting quest line from Vanilla is shorten due to the lack of construction ability. I have only been playing on single player to give it a test run and have tried out most of the classes and really you cant go wrong with any of them that I can see. This unlocks the case which then can be looted to get all the class-specific recipes along with a bundle of starting items related to the chosen class.

New Weapons and Weapon Mods (Silencers, Shotgun Chokes, High Powered Scope)Īfter you decide on a class you get a class briefcase that you then place on the ground and open either with your class key or by breaking it. Locked Down Vanilla Recipe System with Class Focus (Overhaul version Only)
